How this works

Trust & Safety

Finding help for someone you love means handing your details to strangers. That deserves straight answers, so here is exactly what we do, what we don't do, and what to do if something goes wrong.

How a provider gets listed

Anyone can create a provider account, but a new listing is not public straight away. It sits in a queue until someone on our team opens it and reads it: the business name and address, the services offered, the description, and any registration paperwork the provider chose to upload. Only then does it appear in search.

When we approve a listing we record the date, and you'll see it on the provider's profile under What we've checked, alongside anything else we can evidence — whether they have documentation on file, how long they've been listed, how many published reviews they have, and how quickly they typically reply. If a profile shows none of that, the panel doesn't appear. We'd rather show you nothing than a badge that means nothing.

What checking does and doesn't mean

We check that a business appears to be real, that its listing is accurate and appropriate, and that it belongs on a site for the neurodiverse and special needs community. That is an editorial review, not an endorsement.

We do not verify professional licences, insurance, or qualifications, and we do not run background checks. Please ask providers directly about their credentials, and verify them with the relevant state board before starting care. Diverrx is a directory — we are not a medical service and we don't give medical advice.

What happens to your message

  • When you contact a provider, your message goes to that provider and nobody else. Contacting several sends each one a separate message — they can't see each other.
  • We email you a copy of everything you send, so you always have a record of who you contacted and what you asked.
  • The provider sees the name, email and phone number you put in the form — nothing more. We never sell your details or pass them to anyone you didn't choose to contact.
  • Replies arrive by email, and stay in your Diverrx inbox if you have an account. You can turn the email notifications off at any time.

The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

Reviews

Reviews are written by people with a Diverrx account, and every one is read by our team before it appears. A provider can reply publicly, and their reply is moderated too. We don't remove a review for being critical — only for being abusive, off-topic, or untrue. Providers cannot pay to have reviews removed, and there is nothing to buy on Diverrx that would change where a provider appears.

If something is wrong

Every provider profile has a Report this listing link. Use it if a business doesn't seem real, if the information is wrong, if they've stopped operating, or if anything there is unsafe or offensive. Reports are private — the provider is never told who raised one — and they go straight into our moderation queue. You don't need an account to send one.

We can suspend a listing while we look into it, and we do. If you'd rather talk to a person, contact us or email info@diverrx.com.

If someone is in immediate danger, call 911. Diverrx is not an emergency service and nobody monitors these pages around the clock. For mental health support in the U.S. you can call or text 988 at any hour.

What we ask of everyone

Our Safe Space Policy sets out how providers and families are expected to treat each other here. Using Diverrx means agreeing to it — for providers, breaking it means losing the listing.
